As a sole trader operating primarily from a home office, I have structured my business practices to minimise environmental impact. Key measures include:
- Low-impact operations: The majority of services are delivered online, reducing travel, energy use, and resource consumption.
- Responsible travel: Where in-person services are required, I plan efficiently to minimise trips, use a fuel-efficient SUV, and seek to combine appointments where possible.
- Sustainable resource use: Workshop materials are provided electronically by default. Where printed handouts are necessary, I use paper made from responsibly sourced fibre.
- Waste management: I minimise waste by reducing printing, reusing office materials, and processing appropriate paper waste via a home worm farm. Recycling systems are in place for any other materials.
- Energy and technology efficiency: I utilise energy-efficient equipment in my home office and conduct most communications via digital platforms.
Through these processes, I ensure that my services are delivered with a strong focus on environmental responsibility and continuous improvement in minimising impact.
